Terms of service

Last updated: [date to come]

Who these apply to

These terms cover businesses that use Review Palette, the people who manage those businesses in it, and customers who receive review requests from it. Review Palette is operated by [company legal name to come] ("we").

The service

We ask a business's customers for reviews by email or text message, host the business's review page, and pass private feedback from that page to the business.

What a business agrees to

  • Give us accurate names, email addresses and phone numbers for its customers.
  • Confirm, for every customer list it uploads, that the customers came from real work it did and that it may contact them.
  • Never offer anything in return for a review, and never ask for a particular rating.
  • Connect its Google Business Profile itself. We never ask for or hold its Google password.

Rules no one can change

Every customer sees the same choices on the review page. Nobody receives an incentive for a review. We text only people who agreed to texts, and an opt-out always wins. No business setting turns these off.

Text messages

Our SMS terms, covering consent, how often we text, and STOP, START and HELP, are part of our privacy policy.

Acceptable use

No one may use Review Palette to harass customers, send unlawful content, mislead people about who is contacting them, or get around consent and opt-out rules. We may stop sending for a business that breaks these terms.

Disclaimers

We provide the service as is. We do not promise that any customer will leave a review, or that every email or text will be delivered.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the service. [Liability cap and exceptions to come.]

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top.
